The following reasons may cause that the system time is not synchronized:
The Time:LAN! version in use is not a recent one. You need to use version 6.00f (114).
There has been a mistake in the Time:LAN! configuration. The wrong COM port has been selected for the module. Please check if the module is connected to another COM port or define a different COM port in the configuration.
The interval for the time sync is too low. Please set the interval to at least 5 minutes.
The local offset has been set. Please set the offset for the local time to 0.
The maximum time difference has been changed. The maximum time difference needs to be set to 3660 seconds.
The module does not have sufficient reception. In the Time:LAN! monitor, the value of the signal frame librates between very high and very low values. The receiver is placed somewhere with a very bad or no reception. To find a proper position for the module, a serial extension cord of up to 80 meters can be used. The reception is optimal when the value for the signal frame librates around 98/99 in the Time:LAN! monitor.
The NetWare server does not accept an external timer. There is a parameter "Time Sync Hardware Clock" in the NetWare monitor below »Server Parameters / Time«. Set this parameter on OFF to have Time:LAN! synchronize the system time.
The driver »IDEATA.HAM« has to be up to date. You find it in the support section of the Novell homepage. You may possibly unload this driver.
