In order to exclude any problems caused by the file DAVID.FIL, which contains the FileScan Services, you need to regenerate it. The following explanation is based on Windows NT/2000:

Terminate the DvISE Service Layer. Go to the directory »DAVID\CODE« and rename the DAVID.FIL to e.g. DAVID_FIL.OLD.
Attention! Then, the FileScan-entries will not be there anymore!
Restart the Service Layer again afterwards.

You can now generate a new FileScan-entry in the DvISE Administrator under »Configuration -> Services -> FileScan Services« by pressing the INSERT-key.

Enter the following path:

\\Servername\David\Apps\Faxware\Out\Api\*.

It is important to enter the exact path including the final "*." without an extension. Confirm the settings with OK.
Afterwards, go to another directory in the DvISE Administrator and then return to the »FileScan Services«. Despite your former entry there will not be an entry on the right side yet. This is ok so far.

Press the INSERT-key again and enter the following path:

\\Servername\David\Import\*.fax

Again, no other settings should be made.
After confirming this entry with OK, you can enter additional FileScan Services. Restart the DvISE Service Layer then and check the behaviour again.

Note:
Additional information about the "FileScan-Services" can be found in the
