Virus Protection for DvISE and virus scanner of a third party

Problem The virus protection software of a third party is to be installed in the complete network in addition to the "Virus Protection for DvISE".
Is that possible and what has to be considered?

If you use an anti virus software of a third party on the DvISE server, it is recommendable to except the following DvISE directories from the scan:
  • DAVID\APPS\
  • DAVID\TLD\PORT\
  • DAVID\IMPORT\
  • DAVID\CODE\
If these directories are not excepted from the virus scan by an addtional anti virus protection it may possibly result in loss of data.

Note:
Please note, that the Virus Protection for DvISE scans incoming and outgoing eMails only and not the whole system.
