Antwort
Advanced SMTP configuration. Under the David PostMan configuration item »Databases« you have the possibility to adjust advanced settings for the use of the PostMan. If, for example, you dispose of multiple mail domains then you can enter these here to administrate these also centrally via the David PostMan. In these lists press the key [INSERT] resp. the »New« button to create a new entry.
  • Valid Domain Names
Here enter the names of all domains for which the David PostMan shall receive emails. If there are also addresses from these domains in the mail list then the mails will also be accepted for these recipients. Otherwise they will be declined. In this list it is also allowed to use Wildcards (e.g. *.example.com).

  • Allowed forwardings
The entries in this list will only be analyzed if the »Forward« option is activated in the David PostMan system configuration. Here enter the IP addresses of remote stations or IP networks (with the use of Wildcards, e.g. 192.0.0.*) for which forwarding shall generally be allowed. Forward jobs of these remote stations will be performed without further checking also if the option »MX checking« is activated at forwarding in the PostMan system configuration. The entries of this database can be used in the David PostMan system configuration under the item »Forward -> Restrictions« to define the use of the David PostMan as Forwarder.

  • Sending Method
Here take up individual settings for certain destination addresses or destination domains which require specific sending methods. For jobs to these destinations the defaults defined in the PostMan system configuration will be ignored and the settings defined here will be considered instead. This way it is for example obtained that a direct connection - without a Provider - is established to the destinations defined here or that sending to certain recipient addresses only occurs via a specific Provider.

  • Allowed sender's addresses
In this list you can enter eMail addresses from which eMails shall always be accepted also if they formally belong to the »Not allowed sender's addresses« (see below). If, for example, under »Not allowed sender's addresses« »*@domain1.com» is entered then approximately no mail from a sender of this domain will be accepted. But to still accept one or multiple address(es) of this domain these can be entered here. At this it is allowed to use Wildcards. This list is also maintained as Archive in the TAS under »Archive - System - Domains« and can directly be maintained in the David.InfoCenter. The entries of this database in the David PostMan system configuration under the item »Forwarding -> Restrictions« can be used to define the restrictions of the use of the David PostMan as Forwarder.

  • Not allowed sender addresses
Here enter all eMail addresses from which eMails shall generally not be accepted. The use of Wildcards (z.B. *@domain1.com) is allowed at this. This way you can create a so-called Spam list to be protected for example against unwanted mass mailings, advertising mails which are also termed as Spam mails. The reception of eMails which sender is found in this list is then generally declined. This list is also maintained as an archive in the TAS under »Archive - System - Domains« and can directly be maintained in the David.InfoCenter.

  • TURN/ETRN/ATRN Domain Names
This menu item is exclusively relevant if you are an eMail Provider and want to enable your customers requesting eMails via the SMTP protocol via TURN command with the David PostMan. Here you can enter the domain name of your customer and the archive from which the customer shall collect the eMails via TURN command.

  • AUTH Domain Names
If you use different Providers for receiving and sending eMails then you can enter all domains here which shall be logged in to. In addition to that username and password for the login as well as the login type to be used (Login or CRAM-MD5) is required. This list is also maintained as an archive in the TAS under »Archive - System - Domains« and can directly be maintained in the David.InfoCenter. In the PostMan system configuration under the item »Forwarding -> Restrictions« the entries of this database can be used to define restrictions for the use of the PostMan as Forwarder.

  • Direct Forwarding
Here enter the destination addresses resp. destination domains for which PostMan shall work as direct Forwarder. Mails which are directed to these destinations will be accepted by the PostMan and forwarded unmodified.

The recipient address as well as the original sender address remain. The entries of this database can be used in the PostMan system configuration under the item »Forwarding -> Restrictions« to define restrictions for the use of the PostMan as Forwarder.
