This Knowledge Base article explains the integration of the C-Control-Station of Conrad Electronics. This is a programmable control module which can be connected via a serial connection (COM Port) to the David Server and thus provides the individual control of various systems. The use of the C-Control-Station requires the use of David from version V8+. In addition to that the David Server must dispose of the minimum of one free serial interface for the connection of the C-Control-Station. Installation and setup Execute the following steps to integrate a C-Control-Station in your David installation. Installation of a JavaScript TLD The communication between David and the C-Control-Station occurs via an own DvISE port. At this a Java Script TLD is used so it is necessary to install such a port first. For this follow the instructions like explained here KnowledgeBase Article Q-108.144. Including the JavaScript Code Download the file ccontrolint.zip and unpack the example files »tldx.js« and »ccontrol.bas« in any directory. Save the file »tldx.js« to the port directory of the prior created Extended Port (e.g. DAVID\TLD\PORT\003 for the case that this is a port with the number 003). Afterwards ensure that the serial interface which the C-Control-Station is connected to is setup in this file. For this open the file with an editor and search for the entry »var ComPort =« . By default the value »1«, which stands for COM-Port 1, is assigned to this entry. If the C-Control-Station shall be connected to another COM-Port then change the entry to the effect that the assigned value corresponds to the number of the appropriate COM-Port. Afterwards save the change and close the file. C-CONTROL I Install the program with the name »C-CONTROL I« which is included in delivery of the C-Control-Port on the David Server. This software enables to deploy program codes on the C-Control-Station. Further information is found in the C-Control manual. Before you start the program you should unload the JavaScript TLD. A shared use of both modules is generally possible but the transmission of the program code may only occur with an unloaded TLD. Select »Start -> All Programs -> Conrad Electronic -> C-CONTROL I -> C-CONTROL I« to start the just installed program. Then open the file »ccontrol.bas« in the program window via »File -> Open«. Next click on »Development -> Transmit to C-Control Unit« to copy the program code to the C-Control-Station. Ensure that the JavaScript TLD is not loaded at this time. After the successful transfer start the JavaScript TLD. The system is now ready for use. The following functions are available: - Importing all current statuses to the Automation Archive
»State« after starting the JavaScript TLD - Importing all current statuses to the DvISE Automation Archive »State« after a reset of the C-Control-Station.
- Switching all outputs of the C-Control (K1, K2, LED1-LED4, P1-P6)
- Reception of all values from the C-Control (A1-A4, F1-F4, P1-P6, T1, T2, U1, U2)
- Automatic request of the following values from the C-Control-Station: A1-A4, T1, T2, U1, U2
- Sending a command via the Message Editor (see image)
