| In a Peer-to-Peer netzwork, the users must be created on the XP Professional server to use the Tobit InfoCenter. The registration information must match with those of the local registration on the workstation. The password allocation is necessary there and must be considered on the local workstation as well as on the server. To adjust the right allocation for the particular users in detail, it is necessary, that you deactivate »simple file allocation«. To effect this modification, please change into the folder options of a directory under Windows XP Professional. Please remove the check mark for the paramter »use simple file allocation (recommended)« in the window »Advanced Adjustments« on the index card »View«. So that a user can work with his archives in the Tobit InfoCenter, as well as sending and receiving of messages is possible, at least he needs the following rights: In the following folders »Read Attributes« »\DAVID\ARCHIVE\« »\DAVID\ARCHIVE\USER\« »Full Access« on: »\DAVID\ARCHIVE\USER\USER-ID« (The User-ID can be seen in the DvISE Administrator) »Write« and »Read/Execute« on »\DAVID\APPS\FAXWARE\OUT\API« If you want to use archives underneath of »Archive «, you have to assign the right »Read Attributes« on »\DAVID\ARCHIVE«. Furthermore the rights can be assigned freely, to make a particular directory available for a user. Basically you have to notice, that the administrator and the »DVU User« get full access on the entire David directory. If that is not the case, it may lead to disfunctions, if the Service Layer (basically the DVU User) does not have free access on everything. |
