Some of the workstations have problems connecting to the DvISE server although the latest updates and Service Packs have been installed. Trying to connect, they come up with the prompt to enter a DvISE server name. The usual procedure did not work. The connectivity problems remain.

This effect is probably caused by a defective »winsock.dll«. Rename the file on the non-connecting workstations and copy the »winsock.dll« from a connecting one to the non-connecting workstation. You find the file in the directory »WINNT\System32« (NT/2000/XP) or »Windows« (Windows 9x/ME).
