Antwort
The following requirements need to be met to use the telephony services of the David Information Server Engine:

Telephone Extension
In order to use the telephony services you need to dispose of one or more ISDN extensions as well as of a properly equipped telephone system. The supplementary service ECT is only defined for a subscriber line (multi-device-connection).
Thus, ECT is not possible with a system connection.

Communication Hardware
The telephony system needs to support switching by "ECT Connect" on the S0 bus used. This is ensured if the telecommunication system supports the »supplementary services« according to ETSI standards. The same applies to the CAPI driver of the ISDN board used which needs to support the ECT Connect as well. Additionally, the telephony system should be able to transmit the originally dialed extension (DDI or MSN) to DvISE via the ISDN board in order to use that information for the internal routing.

DvISE Ports
At least one of the ISDN ports installed needs to be configured for the ECT service. The activated services of a port can be checked and be changed if necessary in the DvISE port configuration at the server. If the ECT service is not activated for any port the telephony services cannot be used.

Tobit InfoCenter
The number of the local phone extension, prefixed by an asterisk (*) to prevent an outgoing line for this internal number, needs to be entered in the configuration of the Tobit InfoCenter below »Options - Settings - User Profile« on every workstation on which the telephony services ought to be used (example: *123). When using the telephony services, it is connected to this number on default.

Script
The actions of the system for incoming or outgoing calls are defined via so-called scripts. Depending on the script used, different functions are executed. The default script which is active directly after the DvISE installation offers functions for most purposes. This script is named TLD.DCC and can be found in the directory »DAVID\TLD\COMMON« at the DvISE Server. The adjustment to personal requirements is usually done in the Tobit InfoCenter. For this, you find e.g. specific archives below »Archive - System - Database«.
